Visually Challenged Students Shine at Sri Krishna Jayanthi
The Sri Krishna Jayanthi celebration featured a special dance performance.
Eleven visually challenged students performed a ballet about Sri Venkateswara’s wedding.
They learned the movements through practice, music and memory instead of watching demonstrations.
Their performance impressed and moved the audience.
Akshara, who is also a student, helped train the dancers.
The Devnar Foundation for the Blind supports students in learning and expressing their talents.
Later, Emani Sri Poornima played devotional music on the flute.
Together, the performances showed how dedication and art can bring people together.
Eleven visually challenged students performed the dance ballet “Sri Venkateswara Kalyanam” at Tivoli Gardens.
The performers used muscle memory, sound cues and spatial awareness to execute precise movements.
Akshara, a classical dancer and foundation student, trained and mentored the performers.
The Devnar Foundation for the Blind was founded by Padma Shri awardee Dr. Saibaba Goud.
Flutist Emani Sri Poornima also performed, accompanied by mridangam and violin artists.
