Mutual Funds Double Equity Investment Amid Strong Inflows
Mutual funds in India have more than doubled their investment in the stock market to ₹43,465 crore last month.
This big increase happened because many people are putting money into mutual funds, especially through something called SIPs.
The stock market went up because of this, with the Sensex and Nifty indices showing gains.
Foreign investors, however, took out some money.
Experts say that people are happy with their investments and expect good earnings from companies next year.
The IPO market is also doing well, adding new companies to the stock market.
Mutual funds' net equity investment doubled to ₹43,465 crore in November 2025 from ₹20,718 crore in October.
MFs were consistent buyers in the equity market, boosting the Sensex and Nifty indices.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) pulled out ₹3,765 crore in November, compared to a net investment of ₹14,610 crore in October.
Retail participation through Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs) has been strong, with over 95% of SIPs being equity-oriented.
About 40% of funds delivered SIP returns exceeding 15% in the last year, with 39% generating returns between 10-15%.
