UN Report Names TRF for Pahalgam Terror Attack
The UN has officially blamed a group called The Resistance Front (TRF) for a recent attack in Pahalgam.
This group is connected to another group based in Pakistan.
The TRF said they did the attack, but then took it back.
Pakistan tried to get the TRF's name removed from a UN report, but they failed.
The U.S. also now considers the TRF a global terrorist group.
The report also mentions other dangerous groups in the area, like ISIL-K, which has a lot of fighters and is growing.
The UN Security Council (UNSC) officially named The Resistance Front (TRF) for the Pahalgam terror attack.
The TRF claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed 26 people, and is linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Despite Pakistan's attempts to prevent it, the UN report included TRF in its findings.
The U.S. designated TRF as a global terrorist group in July.
The report also highlights the growing threat of ISIL-K and other groups in the region.
