Trump’s White House Staff Exodus Raises Stakes Before 2026 Midterms

Trump’s White House Staff Exodus Raises Stakes Before 2026 Midterms

Several important workers in President Donald Trump’s White House are leaving their jobs.

James Braid worked with Congress, and Karoline Leavitt was the press secretary.

Legal advisers Ed Martin and Dave Warrington are also leaving.

The White House has not yet announced replacements for Braid or Leavitt.

This is happening before the 2026 elections, when Democrats could win control of Congress.

If that happens, Congress could investigate the administration more often.

Some Trump allies say the administration can continue its work without these individuals.

Other experts say new aides will need time to earn Trump’s trust and learn how he works.

Leavitt said she is leaving because she wants to spend more time with her two young children.
