Thailand Lowers Tourist Forecast, Introduces Digital Arrival Card
Thailand is expecting fewer tourists next year than they previously thought.
Before a big sickness happened, lots of people visited Thailand.
Now, they want to make it easier to enter the country by using a special online card.
Tourists must fill out this card with their info, travel plans, and health details before they arrive.
This helps speed things up at the airport and make the trip better.
You fill out the card online, and it gets checked to make sure everything is correct.
Then you show it at the border when you get to Thailand.
Thailand's finance ministry reduced its forecast for foreign tourist arrivals in 2025 to 36.5 million.
The previous estimate was 38.5 million.
In 2019, Thailand had 40 million visitors.
A Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is being implemented for all non-Thai nationals.
TDAC must be submitted online 72 hours before arrival.
