Techie Drowns in Car Ditch Accident
A young software engineer named Yuvraj Mehta was driving home late at night when his car hit a ridge and fell into a deep, water-filled ditch.
It was very foggy, and there were no reflectors or signs to warn drivers.
Yuvraj called his dad for help and stood on the car's roof, but the car sank, and he couldn't be saved.
Rescue teams tried for hours, but Yuvraj was declared dead.
His family and neighbors are upset because they had asked the authorities to make the area safer, but nothing was done.
The authorities are now investigating what happened.
A delivery agent also tried to help but was unable to save Yuvraj.
Yuvraj Mehta's car fell into a 20-foot-deep ditch filled with water in Greater Noida's Sector 150 around 12:15 AM on Saturday.
Yuvraj called his father for help and stood on the car's roof, but the car was completely submerged, and he drowned.
Rescue teams, including the police, divers, SDRF, NDRF, and the fire department, arrived and tried to save him, but he was declared dead.
Yuvraj's family filed a complaint alleging that the authorities had not installed reflectors or covered the drains, leading to the accident.
Residents had repeatedly demanded the installation of reflectors and signage, but no action was taken, sparking protests and outrage.
