Bombay High Court Upholds BTech Admission Cancellation Over Scorecard

A student was given provisional admission to a BTech program.

The institute later said it found problems with the student’s CET scorecard.

On July 10, it told the student that the admission would be cancelled.

The institute formally sent this decision by email on July 14, 2026.

The student went to the Bombay High Court on July 17.

He said he had downloaded the scorecard from the official website.

The court upheld the cancellation of the provisional admission.

The case also involved the argument that concerns about low marks could not justify changing the scorecard.
