India to Finalize Submarine Deals by Mid-2025
India is planning to buy more submarines to protect itself, especially due to China's increasing naval strength.
The government expects to finalize two big deals by the middle of next year.
One deal is for three more Scorpene submarines, and the other is for six new stealth submarines.
These submarines will be built with help from companies in other countries.
The first deal has experienced delays, but the government wants both to move forward quickly.
The new submarines will take about six years to be ready after the contracts are signed.
This is to ensure India has a strong navy.
India is expected to finalize two major submarine deals by mid-2025.
The deals are worth over Rs 1 lakh crore.
One project involves the procurement of three Scorpene submarines.
The other project is for the acquisition of six diesel-electric stealth submarines.
