Baby Girl Fails to Impress at Box Office
A new Malayalam movie called Baby Girl, starring Nivin Pauly, came out on January 23, 2026.
People were excited because Nivin Pauly's last movie was a big hit.
But this time, the movie didn't do well.
On the first day, it only made Rs 75 lakh, which is less than expected.
The next day, it made even less, totaling Rs 1.47 crore in two days.
Not many people went to see it, with only about 19.4% of seats filled on the first day.
Critics said the story was boring and too similar to older movies.
The movie needs a lot more people to watch it on Sunday to become a success.
Baby Girl, starring Nivin Pauly, released on 23 January 2026, failed to impress critics and audiences.
The film earned approximately Rs 75 lakh on its opening day and Rs 72 lakh on the second day, totaling Rs 1.47 crore in two days.
Average theatre occupancy on the first day was only 19.4%, with morning and afternoon shows seeing even lower occupancy.
Critics noted that the script felt dated and similar to older works, with Nivin Pauly's character having limited screen time.
The film is considered a box office failure unless there is a significant turnaround in ticket sales on Sunday.
