NHRC Investigates Conversion Allegations in Madhya Pradesh Madrasas
Some people are worried that around 500 Hindu kids in Madhya Pradesh are being taught about another religion in schools called madrasas without their parents knowing.
The government's human rights group is now looking into it.
The group heard that some madrasas might be breaking the law by teaching things they shouldn't, potentially trying to change their religion.
The government has to look into it.
One concern is that the madrasas are not regulated by the Right to Education Act and might be receiving illicit foreign funding.
It is a serious issue as it is believed to be against the rules and the constitution.
The NHRC is investigating complaints of alleged illegal religious conversion activities in madrasas.
The complaint alleges around 556 Hindu children are being targeted.
The madrasas are located in Morena and other districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The NHRC has directed the Principal Secretary of School Education to submit a reply and register an FIR.
Concerns have been raised about violations of the Juvenile Justice Act and potential foreign funding.
