Yamuna River Water Level Drops, Still Close to Warning Level
The Yamuna river's water level in Delhi has gone down after some heavy rain, but it's still a little high.
It's now in a safe zone, but it's close to a level where people need to be careful.
The water got high because of rain upstream, so officials let water out of a dam to manage the river.
The government says everything is okay and they are watching the situation closely.
Yamuna water level at 204.20 meters, within safe zone but near warning level.
Highest water level this season reached 205.15 meters early Friday.
Rising levels attributed to heavy rain upstream and increased discharge from Hathnikund Barrage.
Officials maintain optimum river levels via Okhla barrages and controlled releases.
Delhi minister assured the situation is normal and under control.
