Moodbidri TMC Launches Cloth Bag Campaign to Reduce Plastic
The Moodbidri town council in Karnataka is starting a campaign to stop people from using plastic bags.
They want everyone to use cloth bags instead.
Volunteers from Alva's College will help by talking to people at the market and offering cloth bags for a small price.
The campaign is supported by the Rotary Club.
They are also collecting old sarees to make into new bags.
The goal is to completely get rid of plastic bags in the area, with officials hoping it will last for several weeks.
