Two UoH Professors Receive JC Bose Grant
Two professors from the University of Hyderabad have received a special grant called the J.C. Bose Grant.
This grant is given by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation to support their research.
One professor will study how to use artificial intelligence to make better devices for sending light signals.
The other professor will look at tiny parts inside our cells called mitochondria to understand how they help our bodies and what happens when they don't work right.
Each professor will get a lot of money over five years to do their research.
This money helps them buy equipment and pay for other things they need to do their work.
The grant is a big deal because it shows that these professors are doing important research that could help many people.
Two professors from the University of Hyderabad receive the J.C. Bose Grant for research in AI and mitochondrial biology.
Prof. Rajadurai Chandrasekar will work on AI-enabled soft materials for optical communication devices.
Prof. Naresh Babu V. Sepuri will study mitochondrial subpopulations and their role in metabolic diseases.
The grant provides ₹25 lakh annually for five years, totaling ₹1.25 crore in research support.
The grant includes an institutional overhead of ₹1 lakh per year and can be availed until the researcher turns 68.
