Information Commission Orders Hospital Society to Appoint SPIO
Imagine a hospital society that manages things.
Someone asked them for information about employee payments, but they said they didn't have to share it.
They claimed they weren't part of the rules that say they have to share information.
The Information Commission, like a special judge, disagreed.
They said this hospital society is closely connected to the government because government officials are in charge and the society uses government property for free.
Because of this connection, the society has to follow the rules and share information when asked, so now, they have to appoint someone to handle information requests.
The State Information Commission ordered SATHHES to appoint an SPIO.
The ruling came after an appeal from Sindhu S.
Sindhu S. sought details on gratuity payments.
SATHHES initially denied the information request.
The Commission found SATHHES intertwined with the State government.
