Elon Musk Launches X Chat: A Privacy-Focused Messaging App
Elon Musk's X, the app that used to be Twitter, now has a new way to chat called X Chat.
It's like a secret messenger where only you and your friends can read your messages, even X can't see them all!
You can make your messages disappear, block people from taking pictures of your chats, and no one will show you ads or follow what you do.
It's like having a private diary for your conversations.
Elon Musk, who owns X, wants this to be a super safe place to talk.
You can already use it on iPhones and computers, and it will be on Android phones soon.
X also plans to add money services and more, making it an app for everything.
Elon Musk has launched X Chat, a new messaging platform integrated within the X social media site.
X Chat offers end-to-end encryption for messages, group chats, and file sharing, though some metadata is not encrypted.
The platform includes features like disappearing messages, the ability to edit/delete messages completely, and screenshot blocking with alerts.
X Chat is positioned as a privacy-focused alternative, operating ad-free and without tracking user data.
The service is currently available on iOS and Web, with an Android version planned; it aims to be part of X's 'everything app' strategy.
