Apple Expands Self Service Repair for iPads and Other Models
Apple now lets you fix your own iPad!
They've added the iPad Air, iPad Pro, and iPad mini to their Self Service Repair program.
This means you can buy the same parts and tools Apple uses and fix your tablet at home.
You'll need to know what you're doing though, so read the repair manual first.
It's like getting to be a repair person for your own iPad!
If you are not comfortable, they recommend going to a certified repair shop.
Plus, you can get money back on your next purchase by returning the used parts.
Apple expanded its Self Service Repair Programme to include iPad models.
The program allows users to repair iPads using genuine Apple parts, tools, and manuals.
Supported iPad models include iPad Air (2024), iPad Pro (2024), iPad mini (2024), and iPad (2025).
Customers can order parts and tools online and return used parts for a discount.
