Noida Student’s CJP Protest Notice Revoked After Police Review

Noida Student’s CJP Protest Notice Revoked After Police Review

A law student named Akshat Tripathi received a notice after allegedly joining a CJP protest.

The notice asked him to provide a Rs 5 lakh personal bond to help ensure peace.

Police said he encouraged other students to join and spread anti-government messages.

They said this might cause trouble at the university.

Tripathi said he had protested peacefully and denied the accusations.

He also said he was not attending classes because the university had been closed for nearly three months.

He claimed he was injured during police action in Delhi.

Police later cancelled the notice, although reports differ about exactly when it was revoked.

A Supreme Court order had already cancelled most FIRs against CJP protesters from July 20 to 25, except for people with criminal backgrounds.
