IPL 2026: Mohammed Shami Traded to Lucknow Super Giants

A cricket player named Mohammed Shami, who is a fast bowler, is moving to a new team called the Lucknow Super Giants.

He was previously with the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.

This move is part of a trade, where his new team paid Rs 10 crore for him.

Shami is from Uttar Pradesh, which is where Lucknow is located, so it's like a homecoming for him.

The owner of the Lucknow team, Sanjiv Goenka, welcomed him with a popular local saying.

Shami has had a successful IPL career, even winning an award for taking the most wickets in 2022.

He didn't play in the last season and had a less successful time with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, leading to rumors he might be traded.

Other teams were also interested, but Lucknow secured him.

Teams have to finalize their player lists soon.
