Raigad Ganesh Visarjan Deploys Police, Drones For September 25 Immersion
Raigad district will hold a large Ganesh idol immersion event on September 25.
People will take 13,597 idols to different water sites.
Most of the idols come from households, while 158 are public idols.
Police will help keep the processions safe and manage traffic.
About 2,800 personnel are being deployed for this work.
Twenty-eight drones will watch routes and immersion locations.
Authorities have also prepared boats, rafts, electricity and containers for waste at some sites.
DJs, loud sound systems, lasers and chemical sprays are prohibited during the processions.
Raigad district will immerse 13,597 Ganesh idols on Anant Chaturdashi, September 25.
The total includes 158 public idols and 13,439 household idols.
Authorities have deployed 2,800 police personnel for security and traffic management.
Twenty-eight drones will monitor procession routes across all 28 police station jurisdictions.
Immersion sites include seas, creeks, rivers, lakes and artificial facilities, with traffic diversions and barricades arranged.
