India Strengthens Trade Ties with Australia and Oman
India has been making strong trade deals with other countries.
In the last year, India sent 8% more goods to Australia, making $8.58 billion.
Australia has been lowering taxes on many Indian products, and by next year, all taxes on Indian goods will be gone.
This helps businesses in both countries.
India also signed a big trade deal with Oman, where Oman will not charge taxes on almost all Indian products.
India will also lower taxes on many products from Oman, but will protect some important sectors like dairy and jewellery.
This deal will help many workers in India, especially in areas like textiles and medicines.
Overall, these trade deals are helping India grow and work better with other countries.

Australia has eliminated import tariffs on 98.3% of tariff lines for Indian exports, with the remaining 1.7% to be eliminated by January 1, 2026.
Sectors with strong gains include manufacturing, chemicals, textiles, plastics, pharmaceuticals, petroleum products, and gems & jewellery.
India signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with Oman on 18 December, offering zero-duty access on over 98% of Oman's tariff lines.
