Mumbai Court Denies Bail in Alleged VIP Railway Ticket Fraud

Mumbai Court Denies Bail in Alleged VIP Railway Ticket Fraud

A court in Mumbai refused bail to two brothers accused of railway ticket fraud.

Police say the brothers used fake government papers to request VIP-quota train tickets.

The alleged papers included letterheads, stamps and seals connected to Lok Bhavan.

Prosecutors say Amrish helped prepare and submit the documents.

Police say they found forged letterheads, computer hard disks and rubber stamps.

The brothers’ lawyer said they were falsely accused.

The court said the case was serious and the investigation was still underway.

It also said releasing them could create risks involving evidence, witnesses or fleeing.
