Rahul Gandhi Questions Modi Over Missing Hostels for Students
Rahul Gandhi spoke about a student from a village who came to Indore to study.
The student said there was no hostel for her to live in.
She therefore had to stay in a private place called a PG.
Gandhi said this can cost a lot of money and make students worry about safety and rent.
He asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi why there is money for Diwali celebrations but not enough for hostels.
Gandhi also said some girls stop studying because they cannot find a place to live.
At a student event, he discussed education, exams, jobs and recruitment.
He said the system should allow students to ask questions instead of discouraging them.
Rahul Gandhi cited an Indore student who said female students lack safe, affordable hostels.
He said students from villages often pay lakhs for private accommodation and fear losing housing.
Gandhi questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi about government spending on hostels and education.
He claimed some girls leave their studies because they have nowhere to live.
At an Indore event, Gandhi also criticized recruitment, employment and education conditions, alleging the system discourages students from asking questions.
