Trump Skips Super Bowl Due to Distance
Donald Trump, the US President, won't go to the Super Bowl this year.
The game is in California, and he says it's too far from where he lives in Florida.
He did go to a Super Bowl in 2025 in New Orleans.
He also went to other big sports events like the Daytona 500 and the Ryder Cup, which were closer to home.
The Super Bowl will have performances by Bad Bunny and Green Day, but Trump says that's not why he's not going.
He just thinks the trip is too long.
The Super Bowl is a really big deal and lots of people watch it.
Trump also said he doesn't like the performers chosen for the Super Bowl, but that's not the reason he's skipping it.
Donald Trump will not attend Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in northern California due to the distance from his Mar-a-Lago residence.
He previously attended the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, making him the first sitting president to do so.
Trump has attended other major sports events, including the Daytona 500, college football national championship, and the Ryder Cup, all of which were closer to Florida.
The Super Bowl will feature halftime entertainment by Bad Bunny and a pregame performance by Green Day, but Trump insists this is not the reason for his absence.
Last year's Super Bowl averaged nearly 130 million viewers in the US and 62.5 million internationally.
