Amaravati Drinking Water Projects Set for Faster Construction

Officials are building water facilities for people in Amaravati’s capital region.

D. Lakshmi Parthasarathi visited the work and asked teams to move faster without lowering quality.

One project will draw water from the Krishna river near Venkata Palem.

A treatment plant at Krishnayapalem will clean up to 190 million litres of water each day.

The ADC is also building seven water supply centres.

A distribution plant near N-4 road will have a 2,400-kilolitre capacity.

The contractor was asked to meet its targets by May 2027.

Officials were told to check the treatment plant work every day.
