Villagers Accuse Neighbor of Being Bangladeshi Infiltrator
Two people from a village near the Bangladesh border went to the district magistrate's office to complain about their neighbor.
They said the neighbor, Omar Faruq Bepari, is from Bangladesh and has been living in India for many years.
They think he might be dangerous and want the government to check his documents and send him back to Bangladesh.
The neighbor is accused of having fake identity papers and being part of a group in Bangladesh.
The government will now look into this complaint.
Two villagers filed a complaint against their neighbor, Omar Faruq Bepari, accusing him of being a Bangladeshi infiltrator.
The complainants, Shahidur Rahman and Shamim Dulal Sheikh, allege Bepari entered India illegally 10-12 years ago and obtained voter and Aadhaar cards.
They claim Bepari was associated with Bangladesh Ansar and involved in trans-border crimes, posing a threat to national security.
The complaint was filed at the Cooch Behar district magistrate's office, and the administration will conduct a probe to verify the allegations.
Bepari could not be reached for comment as his calls went unanswered.
