CAT Extends Relief to 8 Haryana Officers
The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has helped eight officers from Haryana who were waiting to become IAS officers.
Their promotions were put on hold because of some problems that happened a long time ago in 2002.
The CAT said they could get their promotions, but it's not a full solution yet.
Eighteen other officers were promoted without any issues.
The problem started because of some legal troubles in a court in Hisar.
The CAT's decision is a step forward for these eight officers.
CAT provided partial relief to eight HCS officers whose IAS promotions were provisional due to alleged irregularities in the 2002 HCS recruitment.
Eighteen other HCS officers were promoted without any issues in July 2025.
The eight officers' promotions were made provisional due to a chargesheet filed in a Hisar court.
The controversy delayed the advancement of the eight officers and cast a shadow over the other 18 officers.
The CAT's order is a step towards resolving the long-standing issue for the affected officers.
