Students Prioritize Well-being, Safety, and Purpose Over Prestige
A new report called the Annual Student Quest Report 2025 was released by the IC3 Institute.
It shows that students around the world are changing what they think is important when choosing a university.
Instead of just looking at how famous a school is, they care more about things like how much it costs, how safe the campus is, how happy they will be, and if the education will help them in the long run.
This report was shared at a big meeting called the IC3 Regional Conference – South Asia, which happened on January 23-24.
The report also found that there is a big difference between what students want and the advice they are getting.
Students are prioritizing well-being, safety, and purpose over traditional markers of success like institutional prestige.
The Annual Student Quest Report 2025 highlights a shift in student aspirations towards affordability, mental well-being, and long-term career relevance.
The report was released at the IC3 Regional Conference – South Asia, held on January 23-24.
The study is based on responses from students in the graduating classes of 2026 and 2027.
There is a widening gap between student aspirations and the guidance systems currently available to support them.
