Ashcraft throws complete game as Pirates rout Marlins 13-1

The Pittsburgh Pirates played a baseball game against the Miami Marlins in Miami.

The Pirates won by a very big score, 13 to 1.

A Pirates pitcher named Braxton Ashcraft threw the whole game by himself.

He only let the Marlins get three hits all game.

He also struck out ten batters, which means they could not hit his pitches and had to sit down.

His teammates helped him a lot by scoring 13 runs.

Rafael Flores hit two home runs, and each home run scored three players, so he drove in six runs.

Jared Triolo and Jacob Gonzalez hit home runs too.

The Marlins scored their only run when Owen Caissie hit a home run in the ninth inning.

This win was extra nice for the Pirates because they had lost their three previous games.
