King Cobra Found in Mumbai Congress Office, Rescued and Released
The King Cobra is a very big snake.
A King Cobra was found at an office in Mumbai, India.
A woman named Sheetal Mhatre worked there and found the snake.
She carefully caught the snake and put it in a glass container so it couldn't hurt anyone.
She asked forest officials to come and take the snake away.
The officials did not come, even after she waited for hours.
So Mhatre took the snake to a mangrove forest, where snakes like to live.
She let the snake go, and it quickly disappeared into the trees.
Another day, people thought they saw a snake on a train near Thane.
The train stopped for 12 minutes, and then everyone was okay.
A King Cobra was found on Monday at the Mumbai office of Congress spokesperson Sheetal Mhatre.
Mhatre caught the snake, placed it in a glass container, and shared a video on X requesting an authorised rescue team from the Maharashtra Forest Department.
After waiting hours with no response from officials, Mhatre released the snake into a nearby mangrove forest, its natural habitat.
In a separate incident last week, a reported snake on a Mumbai local train's ladies' coach caused a 12-minute halt at Thane station.
Railway authorities have not officially confirmed whether a snake was actually found inside the train coach.
