Badrinath Temple Reopens, Char Dham Yatra Commences
Imagine a very important temple called Badrinath, which is like a special house for a god named Vishnu.
Every winter, because of the cold, the temple closes its doors.
But on May 4th, the doors opened again!
People came to sing and pray, and the temple was decorated with lots of colorful flowers.
Important people like the Chief Minister were there.
This opening is a big deal because it starts a long journey called Char Dham Yatra, where people visit four holy places.
It's like the temple is saying, 'Welcome back, everyone!'
to all the people who want to visit and pray.
The Badrinath temple reopened on Sunday, May 4, after a six-month winter closure.
The reopening ceremony featured Vedic hymns and was decorated with 15 tonnes of flowers.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was among the attendees.
The Rawal (chief priest) of Badrinath Dham, along with the Dharmadhikari and Vedic scholars performed the initial worship.
