Bombay HC Orders Updates on Missing Husband Case
A man named Ganesh More went missing on 30 August 2022.
His wife went to the Bombay High Court and asked for help to find him.
The court looked at the reports from the police and saw that they had tried many things to find him, like looking at CCTV footage and asking people if they had seen him.
But they couldn't find him.
The court said the police should tell the wife every two months what they are doing to find her husband.
The wife had also filed many complaints against her in-laws, but the court said she should not file more unless she has good reasons.
Ganesh More has been missing since 30 August 2022, and his wife filed a habeas corpus petition in the Bombay High Court.
The court reviewed reports from the Ulhasnagar police and the Thane Crime Branch, which included extensive search efforts like CCTV surveillance and physical identification exercises.
The court directed the Missing Persons Cell to update the wife every two months on the investigation's progress.
The wife alleged that her in-laws were involved in her husband's disappearance and accused the police of negligence.
The court cautioned the wife against filing further FIRs without substantial evidence, while clarifying that existing complaints must be resolved.
