NTPC Green Commissions Solar Capacity in Gujarat
NTPC Green Energy has added a new part to its big solar power project in Gujarat.
They've turned on an extra 49.1 MW of power.
This is like adding more blocks to a Lego set.
The project is meant to make 300 MW in total.
The new power is now working as of August 22, 2025.
The company also made more money in the last few months than they did the year before, and its shares went down a bit.
NTPC Green Energy Ltd. commissioned 49.1 MW capacity at its Khavda solar project.
This is the third phase of the 300 MW solar energy project in Gujarat.
The new capacity became commercially operational from August 22, 2025.
NGEL reported a 59% year-on-year jump in net profit for Q1FY26.
NGEL's shares closed at ₹103.52, down from the opening price.
