Chhari Mubarak Arrives at Amarnath Shrine for Prayers
Imagine a special, holy item called the Chhari Mubarak, which is like a special stick for Lord Shiva.
This stick was taken to a sacred cave where people pray.
Special prayers happened at the cave, led by a priest named Mahant Deependra Giri.
The Chhari Mubarak then moved to another place called Panchtarani.
There were more special prayers with old religious chants.
The whole trip is part of a larger religious journey that ended early this year because it was too rainy and the paths were dangerous.
Chhari Mubarak, or holy mace of Lord Shiva, was carried to Amarnath cave shrine.
Special prayers led by Mahant Deependra Giri were held at the holy cave shrine.
The Chhari Mubarak left Panchtarani camp on the occasion of ‘Sharavan Purnima’.
Traditional 'puja' and rituals were performed with Vedic hymns.
The annual pilgrimage concluded on August 2 due to bad weather.
