CM Stalin's Bike Pic Sparks Row Amid Sanitation Workers' Protest
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin, was seen in a picture riding a very expensive bike worth Rs 18 lakh.
This happened while workers who clean the streets were protesting because they are not paid enough money.
These workers have been protesting for a long time, almost 170 days, because they want their daily pay to be increased from ₹540 to ₹700-₹800.
They also say the food the government gives them for breakfast is not good, and many workers have even been to the hospital after eating it.
The workers feel they are not being treated fairly, even though they have been working for many years.
A picture of Tamil Nadu CM M. K. Stalin on an Rs 18 lakh Suzuki Hayabusa bike has sparked controversy.
Sanitation workers have been protesting for 170 days demanding higher wages and permanent employment.
Workers allege that the government-provided breakfast is of substandard quality and have been hospitalized.
The current daily wage of ₹540 is insufficient, and workers demand it to be increased to ₹700-₹800.
The morning meal scheme was introduced on November 15, 2025, amid ongoing protests.
