Bangladesh NSA to Attend Colombo Security Conclave in New Delhi
Imagine countries in the Indian Ocean region getting together to talk about important safety stuff.
Bangladesh's top security advisor is going to a big meeting in India.
Leaders from other countries like Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius will also be there.
They will discuss how to keep the seas safe, stop bad guys, and help each other when there are natural disasters.
This meeting is special because it's the highest-level security talk between India and Bangladesh since their former leader left office.
Even though things have been a bit chilly between the two countries lately, they are still trying to work together on safety.
Bangladesh's NSA Dr. Khalilur Rahman will lead a delegation to New Delhi for the Colombo Security Conclave.
The meeting, hosted by India's NSA Ajit Doval, will include counterparts from Maldives, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka.
This marks the highest-level security engagement between India and Bangladesh since August 2024.
The Colombo Security Conclave will focus on maritime domain awareness, counterterrorism, and disaster response.
The visit occurs amidst frosty diplomatic ties between India and Bangladesh following a change in government in Dhaka.
