RBI Unveils 5-Year Financial Inclusion Strategy
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced a new plan called the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (NSFI) 2025-30.
This plan aims to make sure everyone in India can use financial services easily and safely.
The RBI Governor, Sanjay Malhotra, announced this plan at a special meeting.
The plan has five main goals, called Panch-Jyoti, which include making financial services affordable, helping women get involved in finance, connecting finance with jobs, teaching people about money, and protecting customers.
The plan will be carried out by different organizations like the RBI, Sebi, Irdai, and others.
The goal is to make sure no one is left behind and to help people improve their lives through better financial services.
RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra unveiled the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (NSFI) 2025-30 at the 32nd meeting of the FSDC-SC sub-committee.
The NSFI 2025-30 aims to deepen financial inclusion by focusing on effective usage of financial services.
The strategy is aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and embraces the principle of universality.
The strategy is anchored in five objectives termed Panch-Jyoti: expanding equitable and affordable services, promoting women-led inclusion, linking finance with livelihoods, leveraging financial education, and strengthening customer protection.
