IIT-K's Amit Kumar Agarwal Wins 2025 Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar
Imagine a scientist named Professor Agarwal who studies really tiny things, like atoms and how they behave.
He has won a big award called the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar for his discoveries!
This award is a top honor in India for people who do amazing things in science.
Professor Agarwal researches how tiny things work and move, focusing on special materials.
Before coming to IIT Kanpur, he worked in Italy.
He is the first person from a specific school to get this award.
He's very happy to be recognized for his work!
Prof. Amit Kumar Agarwal of IIT Kanpur won the 2025 Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar.
The award recognizes his research in theoretical condensed matter physics.
He specializes in quantum transport, topological materials, and low-dimensional systems.
He is the first alumnus of the Center for High Energy Physics (CHEP), Indian Institute of Science, to receive this award.
He previously worked as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Researcher in Italy.
