KTR urges railway division for Kazipet
KTR, the BRS Working President, met with the Union Railway Minister to discuss important railway projects in Telangana.
He asked for a new Kazipet Railway Division and faster completion of the Manoharabad–Siddipet broad-gauge line.
He mentioned that the BRS government has already helped with land and money for the project, but the current Congress administration is slowing it down.
KTR said completing this railway line is important for connecting places like Sircilla, a big textile hub, and Vemulawada, which has a famous temple.
He also talked about other railway sections that should be included in the new division.
KTR urged the Union Railway Minister to establish the Kazipet Railway Division, encompassing six key sections totaling nearly 2,000 track kilometers.
He requested the acceleration of the 151-kilometer Manoharabad–Siddipet–Sircilla–Vemulawada–Kothapalli broad-gauge line, highlighting the BRS government's contributions to the project.
KTR expressed concern over the slow progress of the remaining 75-kilometer section of the broad-gauge line under the current Congress administration.
The Union Minister attributed delays to the state government's pending Rs 511 crore contribution and 96 hectares of uncompleted land acquisition.
KTR emphasized the importance of completing the railway line for connecting Sircilla, a major textile hub, and Vemulawada, home to a famous temple.
