Bhagwat Says Dharma, Nation and Knowledge Can Address Global Challenges
Mohan Bhagwat, who leads the RSS, spoke about how India’s spiritual ideas and its nation are connected.
He said each helps support the other.
He believes India’s old books and traditions may help people think about problems in the world.
These include how to develop while caring for nature, and how to balance personal freedom with family life.
He said solving a problem should not mean ignoring one side completely.
He also described India as a place with many languages, faiths, communities and cultures.
Bhagwat said young people should learn about their traditions and use useful knowledge from around the world.
He asked people who preserve Jain traditions to share that knowledge with future generations.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said dharma and rashtra are interdependent, with the nation’s purpose tied to dharma.
He said India’s knowledge traditions could help address global dilemmas involving development, the environment, personal freedom, family life and religious conflict.
Bhagwat argued that these tensions cannot be resolved by choosing one side at the expense of another.
He described Bharat as diverse in languages, faiths, castes and cultures, and said traditional knowledge combined with modern progress could contribute to a better world.
At Jain community events, he urged people to preserve and pass on spiritual traditions and help younger generations understand their heritage.
