CAQM Finds 17 Nuh Units Non-Compliant With Environmental Norms

Officials checked 35 factories in Nuh, Haryana, to see whether they followed pollution rules.

They found that 17 factories did not meet the required environmental standards.

Eleven factories were following the rules.

Seven others were closed or not working during the inspection.

Some factories had broken or inactive wet scrubbers, which help control air pollution.

Inspectors also found uncovered conveyor belts, too little water sprinkling, and dusty unpaved roads.

Some factories used fuels that were not approved and had diesel generators that did not meet requirements.

The CAQM said all factories in the National Capital Region must follow pollution-control rules.
