Soha Ali Khan, the actress, shared her mother Sharmila Tagore's first period experience.

Sharmila, from a middle-class family, was alone when she first started menstruating and thought she was dying because she didn't understand what was happening.

She sought help from an aunt who explained it was normal and provided sanitary products.

Soha also mentioned she was older than others in school when she had her first period.
