Air India to Suspend Delhi-Washington DC Flights
Air India is stopping its direct flights from Delhi to Washington, DC, starting September 1, 2025.
This is happening because some of their planes are being updated, making fewer planes available.
Also, flights have to take longer routes because of closed airspace.
Passengers with tickets for these flights can choose to get a refund or fly through another U.S. city first.
Air India is suspending Delhi-Washington DC flights starting September 1.
Suspension is due to a shortfall in widebody aircraft and Pakistan airspace closure.
Retrofitting of Boeing 787-8 aircraft reduces fleet availability until at least the end of 2026.
Passengers with bookings after September 1 will be offered rebooking or full refunds.
