Iran Reviews US Response to Seven-Day Plan for Ceasefire

Iran has proposed a seven-day plan to stop the fighting and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States has sent its response to Iran through mediators.

Iranian officials are now reviewing what the United States said.

Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran will act through the proper channels once it has decided what to say.

He also said Iran is preparing for other possible situations.

The plan was presented by Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in New York.

The proposal comes after fighting and a ceasefire between the sides.

Earlier efforts to reach a final agreement did not make enough progress.
