Asia Africa Agri Alliance Promotes India-Africa Farm Trade and Investment

The Asia Africa Agri Alliance wants countries in Asia and Africa to work more closely on farming.

It held a meeting in Mumbai during GLOBOIL India 2026.

People there discussed trade, investment, technology and ways to make farming supply chains more sustainable.

Mozambique’s Nampula Province invited Indian and other companies to invest in crops and food processing.

The province has a large amount of farmland and transport links through the Nacala Corridor.

Nampula also wants to process more crops locally instead of selling them only as raw products.

A new agreement will support cooperation on oilseeds and vegetable oils.

The alliance says it will also work on market access, finance, policy and training.
