Andhra Pradesh defers Greater Vijayawada, Tirupati plans
The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to postpone plans to make Vijayawada and Tirupati bigger cities.
This is because there are rules that say big changes like this can't happen right before the national census.
The government also talked about reorganizing districts and mandals, and they will make some small changes based on what people said.
They will make a final decision by the end of the year.
They also made a team to solve problems about land using pictures from satellites.
In the capital area, some farmers asked for changes to their land, and the government will look at these requests.
Some areas will be moved back to their old districts, and new areas will be created in other places.
Andhra Pradesh defers plans for Greater Vijayawada and Greater Tirupati due to procedural and legal constraints linked to the national census.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to proceed with district reorganisation with minor modifications by December 31.
Five mandals proposed to be moved earlier will be merged back into Nellore district based on public feedback.
A state-level committee has been formed to address land disputes using satellite imagery.
In Anakapalli district, a new Adda Road Junction revenue division will be created, and multiple mandal transfers in various districts will remain unchanged.
