YEIDA to Execute Fresh Lease Deeds for Sports City Projects
Imagine a giant sports complex with homes is being built near the Yamuna Expressway.
After a court ruling, the government needs to make new agreements with the companies building these homes.
This is because the original company in charge had its land taken back.
The government will now sign new lease agreements and ensure the projects continue with the original plans.
The court also set a timeline for unfinished projects and a special team will watch over the process.
However, a higher court has temporarily paused the process.
YEIDA will sign new lease deeds with third-party developers for 13 Sports City projects.
This follows an Allahabad High Court decision regarding land previously allotted to Jaiprakash Associates Ltd.
The court mandated the new agreements to protect the interests of third-party developers.
The 13 projects involve 13,132 buyers and include flats and residential plots.
A monitoring committee will oversee completion of partially built housing projects.
