NSG Conducts Counter-Terrorism Drill at Kolkata Airport
Imagine a pretend situation at the Kolkata airport to see if everyone is ready for a real emergency.
First, they acted like a plane was taken over by bad guys, but it was just a practice.
The good guys rescued everyone.
Then, they pretended some bad guys attacked the airport offices and took people hostage.
More good guys came to the rescue, saved the people, and stopped the pretend bad guys.
Everyone worked together to make sure they're prepared for real danger.
NSG conducted a joint counter-hijack and counter-terrorist exercise at Kolkata airport.
The exercise simulated a hijack of an A320 aircraft with 75 dummy passengers.
NSG's Counter Hijack Task Force successfully rescued passengers and crew.
A separate counter-terrorist exercise simulated an attack on AAI offices with hostages.
The NSG team neutralized simulated terrorists and rescued all hostages.
