Hyderabad to Launch Ropeway Connecting Heritage Sites
Hyderabad is building a ropeway, like those in Shimla and Manali, to help tourists visit Golconda Fort and Qutub Shahi Tombs.
This ropeway will let people travel between the two historical sites in about 5-10 minutes, offering views of the scenery.
It will cost about Rs 100-200 per ride.
The project aims to make it easier for people to get around and will be built by the government and a private company working together.
The government previously announced a similar project for Bhuvanagiri Fort.
Hyderabad will get its first ropeway connecting Golconda Fort and Qutub Shahi Tombs.
The 2-kilometer ropeway will cost between Rs 100-200, reducing travel time to 5-10 minutes.
The project is planned by HUMTA with the Ropeway and Rapid Transport System Development Corporation.
Each cable car will carry six passengers, offering scenic views of the heritage structures.
The project follows a public-private partnership model.
