Government Launches Health Card for Seniors Aged 70+
The Indian government has launched a new health card for seniors aged 70 and older through the Ayushman App.
This card, called the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, offers free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh each year.
It's part of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and covers many medical procedures, like heart treatments and cancer care.
Seniors can download the Ayushman App, register, and then apply for the card.
They can use their Aadhaar card to sign up.
If the app does not recognize them, they may need to complete an e-KYC process.
