Nepal Landslides and Floods Kill at Least 21, Disrupting Lives

Heavy rain caused floods, landslides and an avalanche in parts of Nepal.

These disasters damaged homes and forced some people to move to safer places.

At least 21 people were reported dead, and five were missing in one account.

Another report cited 24 deaths and 14 missing people across several districts.

In Baglung, landslides buried houses and killed 10 people.

Near Chame, falling earth blocked a river and created a temporary lake.

The lake became about one metre lower as water began flowing more freely.

An avalanche on Himlung Himal also killed at least four people, including climbers or support workers.
